The Sinning Senator took the time today to hold his first health care town hall in Pineville, and here's what he said about the Republican astro-turf campaign to shut down Democratic town hall meetings:
"You should be proud of that, the angry mob is always welcome at my events."
Really, Sinning Senator? We should be proud that a mob of loud, boorish, ill-informed right-wing loons have shouted down members of Congress in town hall meetings across the country?
Forgive me, Sinning Senator, but I thought we lived in a democracy. Where we're supposed to discuss things civilly, and respect one another enough to allow each other to air their concerns.
You're proud that these folks are subverting the very essence of democracy - the town hall meeting?
I'd say shame on you, Sinning Senator, but it's become quite apparent you have no shame.
