Don Cazayoux's campaign is on the air. The ad will start running in the Baton Rouge media market starting tomorrow. Here's the ad:
I do, however, want to add that I hope and pray that the all the Democratic campaigns run a serious field program, one that traps information of all voters that come to their events and at all events that each candidate attends, and use that information to get volunteers, donors and most importantly, voters. This can be used to build our Party, and make us stronger for the general election later this spring, and in the fall.
I hope that each campaign they will start a door-knocking program in the precincts that they think will be receptive to their message to get more folks to vote for them, and ensure that their supporters get out to the polls on Primary Day, which is March 8th.
And a note to the DeCuir campaign - that poll you're touting, which is also the one that John Maginnis is touting, is a name identification poll. What that means is that it's essentially worthless. It may help you raise some coin, but it won't convince folks to vote for you.
To all the candidates - start talking about what you want to focus on in Congress. That's what will grab the voters' attention, not some poll or some ad.
