LA-06: Andy Kopplin's On the Air, and Some Thoughts

Former LRA head Andy Kopplin, a Democratic candidate for LA-06, released the ad below moments ago. It will go on the air in the Baton Rouge media market tomorrow.

A note to readers - I have yet to see anything for Jason DeCuir out there, and I've driven quite a bit of the district in the last few days.

I saw a billboard on I-10 heading toward majority African-American districts off Plank Rd. in Baton Rouge for Michael Jackson. I would be very surprised if Michael Jackson's campaign went on TV. I expect him to do a stealth field operation that will bus African-American voters to the polls on Primary Day, along with radio ads, which is what gave former State Senator Cleo Fields his victories in election after election, and it provided State Senator Yvonne Dorsey her margin of victory over Mr. DeCuir for Fields' old State Senate seat last fall. (That State Senate District is completely within the border of LA-06.)

I posted on the Cazayoux campaign yesterday.

Glad Andy's getting out there ... (0.00 / 0)
Good to see Kopplin on the air. Saw his second ad this morning and I was impressed. We need someone who is smart and capable fighting for us in DC. Kopplin's a rare find as a candidate - someone who can actually back up his claims of working with both parties to get things done.

Well, working with both parties to get things done ... (0.00 / 0)
may not be entirely necessary in this next Congress.  The Democrats already have the House and the Senate, and will likely pad their majorities to the point that they won't need Republican votes to pass a thing, as there will be a Democrat in the White House.
